10. Herbsttagung des Netzwerks Migrationsrecht

Im Zentrum stehen vor allem Fragen des rechtlichen Umgangs mit (institutionellem) Rassismus, rechtlicher Inklusion und der Zugänge zu den Einwanderungsgesellschaften in Europa. Beleuchtet wird dabei die Dynamik zwischen Akteuren (z.B. MigrantInnen, Gerichten, RechtsberaterInnen etc.) und Strukturen.

Inhalt

The effects of last year’s refugee movements have been the focus of the public debate for months. The 10th Annual Conference will deal with the current dynamics on and in a society of immigration as a result of changing migration movements. The conference wants to allow a nuanced examination of the actual and legal changes which shape immigration societies in times of constantly changing migration motives and routes. The term “immigration societies” encompasses the national immigration societies of the EU as well as the EU itself. The conference has four central themes: First of all, it wants to focus on the global context of changing migrant movements and conditions and their consequences for Europe. The second emphasis is on the relevance of borders for the development of immigration societies, particularly in the European migration area. Thirdly, the conference wants to discuss how political and legal parameters in immigration societies may produce racist behavioural patterns. The actors of immigration societies and their possibilities for action form the fourth thematic focus. In this context, a special focus is placed on the self-organisation and empowerment of refugees and migrants. Moreover, the changing options for action of legal advisers, parliaments and courts will be considered.

The conference is directed at students, academic researchers as well as practitioners, advising institutions and associations, who are interested in legal and political discussions.

Das Tagungszentrum liegt in der Nähe der Universität Hohenheim. Ab Stuttgart Hauptbahnhof (U5, U6, U12) bis Möhringen, von dort mit der U3 bis Plieningen.
